Backer ranks calculation and schedule

Hello everybody,

We hope you had a good ICO and everyone is happy with the project so far. We are preparing to distribute backer ranks and need some of you to perform an important task.

IMPORTANT: if you backed the project using BitCrystals during the ICO, exchange your PROTONEXIUM for Nexium by December 30th, 2016.

If you miss this deadline:

  • We cannot give you a backer rank and the benefits that go with it, such as the Nexium bonus and assets.
  • The only action you can take is to exchange your protonexiums for Nexiums.

Starting in January, our distribution of Backer Ranks will follow this sequence:

  1. We assign the Backer Ranks and Nexium bonuses to each and every backer.
  2. We burn the remaining unsold Nexiums.
  3. We distribute the game blockchain assets to every backer.

NOTE: The backer ranks calculations are based on the ICO transactions only. You can manage your Nexiums as you wish, send them elsewhere or trade them, and it won’t impact your backer rank. Backer ranks are a reward for those who supported the project by participating in our ICO. Purchasing Nexiums now from marketplaces won’t create or alter your backer rank.

About the Nexium total supply:

As you understand now, we can only approximate the Nexium total supply until the backer ranks are calculated.
The total supply should equal 61 378 600 + Nexium bonuses that are still to be calculated.

We should burn around 35 million Nexiums in total, again this is only an approximate.

Crucial Info for BtV Backers

Dear backers,

Thank you all for choosing to back Beyond the Void.

Recently, we’ve noticed a significant number of failed transactions. In most cases, the incomplete transactions were caused by a small GAS amount. To ensure your transaction completes, we recommend setting the GAS to at least 400 000.

When you send your transaction, you should receive your Nexiums within two minutes. If you didn’t receive the Nexiums within a couple of hours, it’s because your transaction didn’t go through.

In that case, you lose the GAS amount, which is tiny. The Ethereum (ETH) or BitCrystal (BCY) remain in your wallet.

After the ICO ends, we won’t be able to generate transactions for new backers; we will only be able to distribute bonus Nexiums for existing backers. So, if your transaction didn’t go through during the ICO period, it will be too late.

Nexium ICO reaches its goal in 12 minutes

We’re ecstatic! 12 minutes into the crowdfunding, backers passed the ICO minimum, snapping up 10 million Nexiums! 24 hours into the crowdfunding, backers have passed the 20 million Nexium mark, double the minimum.

The escrow question

Some of you have asked about using an escrow. We understand your desire for a solid guarantee that the project will be developed with all the features we promised on schedule.

As a team, we’ve decided not to use an escrow. Setting one up would be complicated and would add a layer of process to our development process, which we want to keep streamlined. We accept that this decision will factor into backers’ decisions about how much to support this project. For us, maintaining a simple development process is more important than having an escrow. Here are some other recent ICOs that have done the same: First Blood, Lykke.

The crowdfunding ICO uses this published Ethereum smart contract. It stipulates that the team will only receive Ethers if the ICO goal is reached. If not, we will not receive the funds and will go through the process of refunding the Ethers.

We are genuine. We share our work with you. We’ve published gameplay videos and interviews with the individual the team members. We’ve done live sessions on Twitch. The bottom line is that it’s up to you to choose who you trust and to decide which projects you believe will be successful.
